The President of the United States of America

Earlier this summer we went to Dallas. While we were in the hotel we were flipping through the channels. Allyson yelled out stop, it is Rock Obama. We turned it back, sure enough it was. We have NO idea who taught her that, because we didn't!!! Anytime we are somewhere and she sees a picture of him, she LOUDLY announces who it is. She says he is her favorite guy, and I think she does it because we tell her not to!!! It is cute hearing her say it, so I wanted to share it with everyone.

Baileigh Arie

Aunt Robbie and Uncle Scott are having a baby girl!!! Allyson is very excited about her baby cousin or baby sister as she keeps saying. Her name is going to be Baileigh Marie, but Allyson calls her started calling her Baileigh Rie. She has changed it to Baileigh Arie now! She will get it right soon enough, but I needed to tape her before she did! It is so cute!

Man on the Move!!!

Blake is a man on the move! He is only 3 months old, but wants to go so bad. He scooted himself from the mat to the couch and then couldn't go any further.

Blake started out on the far corner of the mat, parallel to the ottoman. He ended up scooting himself to the door way. I couldn't believe when I saw him on the move!

She just wanted her prize!!!

I was in Waco for work this week. I told Allyson I had a surprise for her when I got home. So, I could hardly get in the door before she wanted her surprise. I brought her a book and she was so sweet to read it to Blake!

Sunday, August 16 Blake was dedicated at church. He had 16 people there to be apart of this special day: Darwee, MaMaw, Grandma Nichols, Peepaw, Grandma, Nana, Poppa, Aunt Robbie, Uncle Mike, Aunt Lisa, Chad, Kristy, Hunter, Jason, Allyson and me! After church we went to eat breakfast and then went back to our house to visit.

Mommy/ Allyson Day!!!

Tuesday, Allyson and I went to the Museum of Natural Science for Mommy/Daughter day before I went back to work. I wasn't sure if we were going to ever get there. Polly (my GPS) was taking me all these crazy ways. When we got almost there I started looking for McDonald's. I was going to pick up lunch and we were going to have a picnic outside the museum. Well, I programmed it in my GPS and had to back track 2 miles. Not far, but in downtown it took forever. We got to McDonald's got lunch and were heading toward the museum. Polly wanted me to turn left and the museum was right there on the corner, just on the other side of the street. Trouble was, there was a NO LEFT TURN sign. But Polly said for me to turn, what is a girl to do. I went up a little further to make a U-turn, but NO, every sign said NO U-TURN. I finally found a turn lane, but the turn lane was on the Metro Rail tracks. I got in it and hoped no train would come. It did. I scooted over into the straight lane and went straight. Then there were no U-TURN signs again. By this time, Allyson was screaming for her lunch so I was handing her chicken nuggets in the back seat. I ate my burger too! We FINALLY made it there and I think God blessed me with a good close parking spot, for being so patient on the frustrating drive there.


We got out of the car and found a bench to sit on. Allyson had one chicken nugget and apples left, and I had fries left. We ate them and then went in. When we got in, I started noticing something, everyone sitting at the tables in the lobby had McDonald's bags. Yes, that is right, there was a McDonald's in the museum. I guess I will know next time!!!

We saw the Deep into the Sea 3D Imax movie. Allyson didn't really like it much. I don't think she liked the fish being so close, there were a couple of parts were larger fish ate smaller ones, and I think it scared her. She took her glasses off and wouldn't put them back on. She got bored watching it, but I would have too if I was watching it all blurry. When it was over, we walked around the museum. Allyson liked the dinosaurs and the animals. I am glad she didn't ask about the bloody zebra legs next to the lions. I wasn't ready to explain that! After we looked at everything we got a hot fudge sundae at McDonald's and headed home. Allyson fell asleep before we had been in the car five minutes! It was a fun day with only a few melt downs, but that is what I get for going at nap time!!!

I enjoyed getting to spend the day with Allyson! We haven't had much time just the two of us since baby brother arrived!!

better late than never

This picture is a little after the fact, but I wanted to share it with everyone.

As most of you know, when Blake was born Allyson and Grandma weren't allowed to come to the hospital because of her chicken pox. Mom sent me these pictures of the first time Allyson saw her baby brother. PeePaw sent a picture from his cell phone and this is Allyson looking at the picture!!!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream

Yesterday morning after breakfast, we decide to take a little road trip. We drove to Brenham to visit the Blue Bell Creamery. It was fun and neat seeing how ice cream was made. Allyson liked the chocolate ice cream she got the best. I forgot to take pictures of us eating our ice cream...I was too busy eating mine! Afterward, we went to lunch and then to ride go-karts.
