The county fair!!!

This weekend we spent a lot of time at the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo! We went to see the animals, go to the rodeo and spend time with daddy! (Jason is on the safety committee and out there most of the 10 days it is going on!)

Riding the pony!!
Allyson liked looking at the baby chicks! They have an incubator with eggs in it and then a cage with the baby chicks! She was very interested, but it would have been neat if one had been hatching when we were there!
Allyson, Grandma and Elsie the Borden's cow. Beauregard was there too, but he slept most of the time.
Photo Op!

On the way to the fairgrounds everyday, Allyson could see the ferris wheel and other big rides, and she would get so excited and talk about them. She wanted to go on all of them and I told her when she got bigger. She said she wanted to go on a roller coaster, so daddy took her on the BIG roller coaster they had there. She never got scared or cried, she sat there with a big smile on her face the whole time! she loved it. I think she is going to be very adventurous!
Riding the duck! She was the only one on the ride and no one was in line for it, so I think he gave her and extra long turn. It seemed like she rode forever and she smiled the entire time!!!

Rodeo Day at school!

Today, Jason went to Rodeo Round-Up at Allyson's school. Allyson said she liked the duck that went quack, quack, that she didn't like the donkey that went hee-haw and round and round and liked the horse.

bluebonnets, bluebonnets

Sunday, we took Allyson to the Traylor's house to take pictures in the bluebonnets. Julie took pictures of us in the bluebonnet Saturday, so Allyson was a little grumpy about taking them again. After we took a few she started getting into it!!!

just the three of us...not much longer

Allyson is almost three and we have only had family pictures taken once! We decided we needed to take more before baby brother makes his debut. Julie Johnson, took amazing pictures of the three of us. I was so excited with the way they turned out, and don't know how I will choose which ones I want. She took 130 pictures and these are a few she put on her blog.

I am such a dork!!!

Today, Allyson and I went to Hobby Lobby, Michael's and Kroger. When I got home Jason said look at your shoes. I thought I had tracked mud in or something...it was something alright. I had on TWO DIFFERENT shoes. I went to three different stores and had on TWO DIFFERENT shoes!!! But when you can't even see your feet... I am sitting here laughing at myself, and the sad thing is I still have the shoes on. I figure I will change when I leave again! Until then, it is too much work to change them! I think it must be baby brain or the highlights I got the other day soaking in. Who knows! I wanted to share, so that everyone could get a chuckle at my expense!!!

The Woodlands Children's Museum

Today, Jason was off and the three of us had family fun day! We went to The Woodlands Children's Museum, and Allyson loved it! She ran all over the place, and played with everything. I had to forget about all the germs on everything, especially the costumes, and remember she was having fun. There was a lady there who was singing songs and Allyson really enjoyed that. The lady asked for a volunteer to come up on stage and a little boy went up. When the song was over he came back and sat down, and Allyson asked when it was her turn to go up on stage. So when the lady started singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, she asked for volunteers. Surprisingly enough Allyson went up. It was her and two other girls. She did most of the hand motions and sang along! When the song was over she bowed to the audience because that is what the little boy had done. I couldn't believe what a big girl she was! She came back and sat down for another song. Then she told us she wanted to go home! Poor baby she was so tired. She and daddy headed home for a nap and I stayed to shopped! When she woke up from her nap and we went to dinner with Grandma and PePaw, sat outside by the lake and enjoyed the beautiful evening! We ended the night with ice cream! It was a fun day!

Picnic at the park!

Allyson, Grandma and Mommy went to the park Thursday to have a picnic and play!

The ZOO!!!

Today, Nicole, Sam, Allyson and I went to the Houston Zoo. The kids were great and seemed to have a really good time. Thankfully, since we got there early it wasn't too crowded. When we left we planned to sit at a picnic table and have lunch, well plans changed. The parking lot and traffic outside the zoo was crazy. We couldn't get near a picnic table, so we pulled into the golf course parking lot, put the kids in the back on Nicole's jeep and ate our lunch! The kids enjoyed it and that is all that mattered!

Rodeo Pictures

We took Allyson to have her picture made Saturday! She didn't really like the bandanna and didn't want to have her picture made, but a little bribery goes a long way!!

Allyson and Sam's big date at IPC

Grandma and PePaw bravely took Sam and Allyson to Incredible Pizza!!! They were going to take them the night of their school art show, but Allyson was sick. Both kids were disappointed, so they decided to take them another day! The kids had fun and I think Grandma and PePaw were glad Aunt Robbie and Uncle Scottie tagged along.
